William Troy Murphy

William Troy Murphy, age 52, was born in Morton’s Gap, Kentucky to the late Willis Lee Murphy, Sr. and the late Anna Deloris (née Nichols) Murphy on November 10, 1966. He departed this life in Evansville, Indiana on January 11, 2019.

Troy graduated from South Hopkins High School and attended Murray State University. He joined the United States Army in 1985 serving as a Multi-Channel Communications System Operator. After being honorably discharged from the military, he relocated to Evansville, Indiana and worked as a table game dealer at Tropicana Casino until he became disabled.

Troy was preceded in death by one brother, Willis Murphy, Jr., and one sister, Deloris Murphy.

He is survived by two brothers: Carlos (Leah) Murphy of Indianapolis IN and Brian (Venita) Murphy of Providence KY; two uncles; one aunt; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his caregiver, Tena Moore of Evansville IN.

Services are Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00pm at Mason & Sons Funeral Home, 409 E. Noel Avenue, Madisonville KY with visitation from 11:00am until service time. A visitation in Evansville will be held Thursday from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, 1001 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com
