William Lee DeJarnett, age 67, was born on July 26, 1958, in Henderson County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Mary Lena Willett and the late Benjamin DeJarnett. William departed this life on Friday, September 19, 2025.
William professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He joined the fellowship at Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church. He lived a Christian life and was faithful in church, later moving his membership to Mount Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. During his tenure, he sang in the choir and was an usher.
William was a graduate of Henderson City High School. He worked through the years as a cook and a butcher. He went on to work for Shamrock Technologies, from which he happily retired. William had a passion for flowers and enjoyed growing plants. He loved watching old movies and driving his car. William had a generous heart, which was evident when spending time with family and friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen Chambers and Martha Jean Lisembee; one brother, Lawrence DeJarnett; two brothers-in-law, George Chambers and Rev. Paul Lisembee; and two nieces, Carolyn Chambers and Mary Elliott.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories two sisters, Rosezella (George) Gilbert, and Georgia Willett; niece, Victoria Gilbert; three nephews, Dennis Thomas, Victor Elliott, and George Gilbert, Jr.; and a host of extended family and friends.
