Listen to Obituary

Tamara Dawn Gentry, 54, was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Matthew and Emily Sue Wilson. Tamara lived life to the fullest and loved people with her whole heart.

Tamara was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Sue (Sweet Sue), and her father, Matthew Wilson, and her brother, John Wilson.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Troy Gentry; her children, Trenton (Audra) Gentry and Amber Gentry; her grandchildren, ZoeyLynn Gentry and Leitham Gentry, who were the light of her life; her brothers, Matthew (Anita) Wilson Jr, and Brian Wilson; Best friends, Carol Lawson and Kelli Blair; and many nieces and nephews.

Tamara was full of passion for people. She loved deeply, served joyfully, and carried the love of Jesus in everything she did. She sacrificed much to care for others, always tending to people God placed in her path. Her life was a testimony of compassion, faith, and steady devotion.

Tamara inspired many of God’s children to live with the same love and passion she poured out freely. Her legacy is one of a generous heart, a bold spirit, and unwavering faith.

Her daughter writes, “She was my best friend and mom in the whole world. We did everything together. I am not saying goodbye- I am going to say hello again one day.”
