It is with profound sadness, yet hearts filled with gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of Steven Bostic, who peacefully departed this life on June 22, 2026, at the age of 68.
Steven was born on December 21, 1957. He grew up in Henderson, Kentucky, where he developed the values of hard work, loyalty, and perseverance that would guide him throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of Henderson County High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and memories that remained dear to him.
Following high school, Steven answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. His military service reflected his courage, discipline, and commitment to something greater than himself. Those qualities continued to shape the way he lived long after his time in uniform.
After completing his military service, Steven built a successful career with Kroger, where he faithfully served for many years before retiring as an Assistant Manager. Known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help others, he earned the respect of both his colleagues and the customers he served. He believed in doing every job with excellence and integrity.
While Steven was dedicated to his work, his greatest joy was always his family. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with those he loved, whether sharing meals, telling stories, or simply enjoying one another's company. His quiet strength, caring heart, and steadfast love created memories that will be cherished forever.
Steven also had a gift for working with his hands. He loved automobiles and found great satisfaction in working on cars. Whether repairing an engine, restoring a vehicle, or helping a friend solve a mechanical problem, he approached every task with patience, skill, and pride. Family and friends knew they could always count on him for advice, assistance, or an extra set of hands.
An enthusiastic sports fan, Steven was especially devoted to the University of Kentucky Wildcats. A proud fan of Big Blue Nation, he faithfully cheered on the Wildcats every season. Whether watching the games, discussing players and statistics, or proudly wearing Kentucky blue, his love for UK athletics was unmistakable. His excitement on game day brought smiles to those around him and is a memory his family will always treasure.
Steven will be remembered as a man of quiet humility, unwavering loyalty, and genuine kindness. He never sought recognition for the many ways he helped others; he simply gave of himself because that was who he was. His life reminds us that true greatness is found in serving others, loving your family, and living each day with honesty and compassion.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, William Davis, and his brother, Charles Bostic.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Juanita Bushrod; his devoted son, Chadd Revels; his beloved granddaughter, Aja Revels, who brought immeasurable joy to his life; his brothers, Damon Bostic (Jamye), Terry Bushrod (Charla), and Roman Bushrod (Cara); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing him.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in the legacy Steven leaves behind—a legacy of honor, service, hard work, love, and unwavering devotion to his family. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
