Sherry Denise Tramill was born on September 11,1962 in Henderson, Kentucky to the union of Thomas Tramill Jr. and Rose Turner-Tramill. Embracing life with an unwavering spirit, after a brave battle with declining health, she answered God’s call and peacefully transitioned from this world on January 29, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

She was greeted in heaven by her parents, grandparents; Robert E. Turner, Rosa Lee Presley-Glass, Allen Glass, Thomas Tramill Sr., Esther Dowdy; and Uncles, Ronald Glass Sr., Shell & Phillip “Ricky” Turner.

She is survived by her beloved children, Deamber Tramill and Le’Shannon “Cortez” Tramill, both of Evansville, Indiana. From this life she leaves to cherish her memories three siblings: Myron Tramill (Linda) Evansville, Indiana, Desiree T. Spencer (Arthur Jr.) and Renata Taylor, of Birmingham, Alabama and sister-in-love, Charla Tramill-Bushrod, Henderson, Kentucky. Her generous heart extends to her aunts, Orlantha Gail Turner, Shevetta Hodges, Tina Hazelwood and Ella Woolfolk; as well as her uncles, Everette “Odell”, Kimber, Lee, Chris, and Darnell Turner.

Sherry was a devoted and loving grandmother to her grandchildren, whom she adored: De’Amontez and De’Avyonte White, Najyia Einerwold, Makayla Ellis, Khylen Tramill, Zi’Ariona and Zaydrian Lacer who held a special place in her heart.

She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Jenna Byrne (Cody), Coleman Tramill (Kelsey), Alexander Tramill (Jamie),Taryn Tramill, Dezmond Spencer, Arlana Spencer and Armari Spencer, who brought her immense joy, laughter and pride; along with a host of special friends and extended family.

Sherry attended Henderson County High School, was a resident of Evansville, Indiana and devoted her life to caring for children, a calling that reflected her nurturing spirit, patience, and deep love for others. She never met a stranger. From the moment you crossed her path, you were met with warmth, laughter, and a genuine sense that you mattered. She loved life deeply and found joy in serving others, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading, completing word and jigsaw puzzles. It was common to find Sherry watching classic black & white or western movies from eras ago, laughing at horror films, or dancing to her favorite music, fully present in the moment and inviting everyone around her to join in the happiness. Music and movement were expressions of her joyful spirit, a reflection of the love she carried so freely.

She was deeply loved by her family and chosen family alike. Among those closest to her were her dear friends since childhood, Shelia Washington-Crumbie, Carla Holloway-Singleton and Valerie Morse, who were more than friends — they were sisters by heart, bound together by loyalty, laughter, and a lifelong bond of love. She also shared a very special relationship with her Aunt, Orlantha Gail Turner, who was like a big sister to her in every sense. Their connection was filled with guidance, support, and a love that only sisters can share.

Family meant everything to Sherry. She cherished being surrounded by those she loved and had a remarkable way of treating everyone like family, whether related by blood or simply by heart. Her home—and her heart—were always open. Sherry’s comical personality could light up any room, and her compassion left a lasting mark on all who knew her. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. We celebrate her legacy of service to others that lives on in the countless lives she touched through her kindness, humor, and unwavering love for others. She will be deeply missed and forever etched in our memories !

~Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.
