Rodney Eugene Collier passed away on December 17, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 7, 1965, to Melvin Collier and the late Katherine Young Collier.
He was educated in the Evansville Vanderburgh County Public School system and attended Reitz High School. After high school, he became a fully licensed professional Journeyman Plumber. This allowed him to use his skills to complete odd jobs for friends and family.
Rodney loved fishing, spending time with his family and friends, and riding his motorcycle. His love for riding led him to join the Outcast Motorcycle Club.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Young Collier, grandparents Richard and Laura Collier, grandmother Dolly B. Townsend, and grandfather James C. Jordan, great grandmother Sarah Ann Johnson, aunts Jackie Butler, Violet Collier, Sarah Young; uncle Reverend Joseph Collier; nephews Bryan Wiley Jr., Quentel (Q-Bear) Washington, Jaiden (Big Boy) Kendall; nieces, DeArma (Na Na ) Williams, Messiah Washington and Cousins Marvin Johnson, Pamala Collier, Fonda Cartwright, Diamond Carol.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Joelle Collier; children: Kendra Collier, Jordan Collier, Nicholas Tapp, Na'Kesha Collier, MacKenzie Collier; grandchildren, Zaelyn Green, Kylian Green, Naliah Sherman, Amara Sherman, Rozlyn Tapp, Praise Collier, Tarik Haddan, Joesaha Haddan, and Faith Okeke; father, Melvin Collier, and stepmother, Alverna Dulin; brothers Timothy Collier, Richard Washington, Kevin Washington(Leanne), Melvin Washington (Trisha), Michael Dulin(Dana), Kennedy Washington, Glenn Tapp(Maria); sisters Lisa Dant and Laura Jenkins (Eric); aunts Sarah Cartwright, Claire Collier, Mary Ann Collier, Linda Orr(Ronny), Addie Darrett; special friend Cynthia Balde; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
