Richard Morse Jr., affectionately known as “Daddy Rich” by family and friends—and lovingly called “June” by his parents and siblings—passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and service to his community. As a young man, he worked on the Green Farm and Hogue Farm before beginning a long and dedicated career at Ohio Valley National Bank, where he served as Maintenance Supervisor for over 43 years.Richard had a true passion for life and was deeply devoted to his family. He was known not only for his generosity and community involvement, but also for his incredible skills at the grill. As a true grill master, he specialized in smoked meats and took great pride in his craft—winning numerous trophies for both grilling and golf, another passion he pursued with enthusiasm.Preceded in death are his parents, Richard Morse Sr. and Venetta McGowan Morse; siblings, James Morse, Koy Morse, Floyd Morse, Frances Copeland, Rether Garnett, Odie Lee Morse.Richard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Marie Hatchett; three children, Valorie Morse, Jonathan Morse (Rachel), Olivia Torain; six grandchildren, Ashley Hagan, CCharles R. Johnson(Rosey), Landon Johnson, Tyler Turner (Dre), Canaan Morse (Tanni), Damian Morse; twelve great-grandchildren, Brielle Hagan, Cooper Johnson, Sienna Johnson, Luca Johnson, Eyana Turner, Braelin Turner, Ayden Weiss, Mya Weiss, Addilyn Turner, Ryerson Turner.
