Pierre Briscoe

July 16, 1978 — April 23, 2023

Pierre Christian Briscoe was given life by Cynthia Briscoe and Israel Jones, in Evansville Indiana, on July 16, 1978. During his lifetime he had multiple loving families and villages to help him thrive. During his early years, he was raised by his grandmother Irene Briscoe, who nurtured his kind and gentle spirt and loved him dearly. At age 2 Pierre was brought to St Louis by Cynthia and Dave Walker, to visit Dave’s large family, the Hutchinson's. Pierre was welcomed with open arms and stayed for more than a year along with his sister Angel Walker, before returning to Indiana.

Pierre had siblings, Natalie Wade, Nathan Wade, DeLorean Wade, Angel Walker, Dondi Bacon-Wruble, & DeShay Neal Jones. (Angel and Deloran preceded him in death). They all shared a bond of love for each other than could not be broken. He also had a son, Izaah Briscoe whom he loved dearly.

At the age of 10, Pierre returned to St Louis, to live with the Hutchinson’s, where he resided with his second mother Jackie, siblings, and large and loving extended family, who gave him care and guidance throughout childhood and adulthood.

Pierre was kind, loving and very unique in his ways. He was always true to his belief in God and did his best to be good to others. He was smarter than most ever knew. He had a great imagination and his mind was always full of ideas. He was a great support to his younger siblings and helped them through many difficult times in their lives.

Pierre also had many friends in the community who loved and respected him and helped him along his path. He had a great heart and a charm that drew people in.

Pierre attended Clayton High School where he was a formidable opponent on the varsity wrestling team, and all-around good athlete. After high school, he worked on several different construction labor jobs where he helped to demolish or rebuild old buildings. He also worked in the food service industry. Even though Pierre became disabled as a young man, he continued to work hard when he could. He was excited about his most recent job helping to lay new floors in a restaurant being remodeled in downtown St. Louis.

Pierre leaves to cherish his memory, siblings Natalie Wade, Nathan Wade, DeLorean Wade, Dondi Bacon-Wruble, DeShay Neal Jones, son Izaah Briscoe, second mother, Jackie Hutchinson, brother Gerald Hutchinson, sister Khalilah Charrington, the extended Hutchinson family; a host of aunts uncles, cousins, other family, friends, and his loving, constantly supportive girlfriend.

Pierre had a genuinely good heart and enduring spirit. He will live on in our hearts forever.
