Phyllis Jovita (Jodie) Parker lived a life of strength, courage, and perseverance.

A devoted mother to Lavita Jackson (Kerry Jackson), Tara Ross, Spencer Parker Jr., and Phillip Parker, and loving grandmother to Malaya Williams, Max Jackson, Ezekiel Jackson, Donnie Reese, Donté Reese, Olivia Tyler, Xanaya Tyler, and Jada Parker, gave her heart fully to her family, balancing sacrifice, compassion, and tireless devotion with grace and bravery.

She also cherished her siblings and extended family: Myron Ross (Joanie Evans), Danzell Ross (Melissa Ross), Greta Parker, her uncle Carl Ross Jr., Stefanie Finch, Ghia Finch, Tammy McNary, Eric Parker, Michael Parker, Angela Parker, Dawn Chambers, Ann Thomas, Patricia Wisdom, and Gwen Mason, as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews, who shared in her love, laughter, and lifelong memories.

Jovita was preceded in death by Phyllis Ruth (Finch) Ross (Mother), Joe Louis Ross (Father), Carlos Ross (Brother), Spencer Parker (Spouse), Treymane Tyler (Son), and Brielle Alston (Grandchild).

Though she left this world at 62, her love, courage, and enduring legacy continue to inspire all who knew her.
