Mary Etta Jackson

Mary Etta Jackson, age 91, of Mayfield, Kentucky, passed at her residence on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was born on May 12, 1934, to the late Fred Blakemore and Addie Mae Starks Blakemore in Henry County, Tennessee.

She worked in the kitchen at Henry County High School until she moved to Mayfield and continued working as a childcare provider until her health failed. She was also a homemaker. Mary Etta was a member of Second Christian Church, in Mayfield.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Jackson, Sr.; son, David; three daughters, Sheila, Sharon, and Carolyn; and five siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Ladonna Jackson, Genella (James) Parrott, Brenda (Charles) Jackson Toussaint, all of Mayfield, and Mary Jane (Ryan) Todd, of Flatrock, MI; two sons, Hollie Jackson, Jr and Tommy Jackson, both of Mayfield; one brother, Willie Luke (Debbie) Blakemore; a sister-in-law, Linda Blakemore; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom she loved dearly, and the Mayfield Community that she also loved as her family.
