Mary Ann Collier

Mary Ann Collier was born on September 26, 1953, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Richard and Laura Collier. She peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice Center.

Mary Ann attended Benjamin Bosse High School and dedicated much of her professional life to caring for others. She was employed at Evansville State Hospital, Christian Manor Nursing Home, and various other healthcare facilities, reflecting her compassionate nature and commitment to service.

A woman of deep faith, Mary Ann loved God and was a faithful churchgoer until her health no longer permitted her to attend. She found joy in many activities, including cooking, playing bingo, dancing, watching old western movies, and cherishing moments spent with her grandchildren. Above all, she held a special and unconditional love for her three sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Glenda Louise Collier, Jackie Butler, Violet (Sissy) Collier, and Reverend Joseph Collier.

Mary Ann leaves behind loving memories for her sons, Terry Maurice Collier (Veronica), Ezell Larkin, III, and Freddie DeMarco Reed, Jr.; her brother Melvin Collier of Owensboro, Kentucky; and sisters Sarah Cartwright of Evansville, Indiana, Clara Ann Collier of Houston, Texas, Linda Orr (Ronald) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Addie (Collier) Darrett of Henderson, Kentucky. She is also remembered fondly by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her life was marked by kindness, devotion to family and faith, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her. Mary Ann Collier’s memory will be cherished by all whose lives she blessed.
