Martha McGuire passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and family matriarch whose love, strength, and guidance touched all who knew her. She was a proud graduate of Dunbar High School in Morganfield, Kentucky. In her free time, Martha enjoyed traveling, driving, socializing, playing cards, and spending cherished time with her family. Martha was a faithful member of Living Water Fellowship Ministries, where she was president of the Mother's Board and was in fact, the senior Mother of the church.
Martha dedicated many years of her life to working at Job Corps, where she found true purpose in serving and supporting her students. She cared deeply for them, believed in their potential, and took pride in guiding and encouraging young people toward brighter futures. To Martha, her students were more than students, they were family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James McGuire; her two mothers, Mary Rudd and Sue Elma Sullivan, who blessed her with love throughout her life; and her fathers, Jake Chambers and Jake Howard. She was also preceded in death by her 3 siblings, Joe Reaper, David Sutton, and Regina Smith.
Martha is survived by her 5 sisters and 1 brother: Mary Davis, Hattie Mae Chambers, Linda Chambers, Mary Elizabeth Campbell, Marilyn Chambers, and Arnice Edwards (Wayne) and James (Betty) Chambers
She leaves behind her 6 children: Marvin Chambers (Henderson KY), Marty (Kim) McGuire (Dallas TX), Marian Chambers (Raleigh NC), and Diane (Robert) Foster, Sue (Roderick) Jackson, and Robert (Shannon) Foster, all of Henderson KY.
She was a proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren, including Nikita Chambers, Briante Chambers, Khadijah McGuire, Martarius McGuire, Tya Jackson, Keylan Jackson, and Camari Jackson, and was further blessed with five great-grandchildren: Taylan, Skylar, Mattie Grace, Shilo, and Marlie.
Martha will be remembered for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering love for her family and community.
