Marlon M Winstead

Marlon M. Winstead was born in Evansville, IN, on June 23, 1974, to Steve Winstead and Venice A. Farris. He departed this life on November 15, 2023.

Marlon had a heart of gold, a laugh that filled the room, and positive energy that put a smile on anyone’s face. He was such a character; he gave those he loved nicknames. Marlon graduated from Harrison High School and attended the University of Southern Indiana. He was a long-time employee of Pizza King in Newburgh, IN. He enjoyed watching the NFL especially his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Marlon was preceded in death by his father, Steve Winstead.

Marlon is survived by his mother, Venice A. Farris; daughter, Moe’Laizah Winstead; son, Marlon Winstead, Jr.; grandson, Amari Hildebrandt; brothers, Andre’ M Barnett and Tracey Fellows (Renee’); sister, Nakiah Madison (Kimberly); grandparents, Russell and Gladys Layne; stepmother, Sue Winstead and bonus brother, DeShay Jones. He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and a special thanks to his Uncle Vincent Farris (Gina).

Services will be held on December 2, 2023, at St James Missionary Baptist Church in Evansville, IN, at 11:00 am, with visitation from 9:00 am until service time.
