Mark Anthony Bonds, I went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Mark was born on November 27, 1959, to Joan Bonds Talbott and James Momon Sr in Evansville, In. Mark grew up on Cherry Street, where he gained many lifelong friends and family.
Mark served in the United States Army, where he was a tank driver and achieved Sharpshooter status with a 45-caliber pistol and an M-16 rifle. After an honorable discharge, he became employed at Whirlpool Corporation for many years. Mark was also a long-time member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, having attended there since he was a young child.
Mark was an avid sports fan, with a particular love for the Dallas Cowboys! Above all, he cherished his relationship with his family and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by father, James F. Momon Jr.; mother, Joan Bonds Talbott; brothers, Curtis Momon, Albert J. Momon, Larry W. Pope, Bobby Weasley; sister, Tara A. Momon-Morris; grandparents, Ervin and Rhoda Bonds; and cousin, Gary Bonds.
Mark is survived by his daughters, ReNiesha and RaShawnda Bonds; son, Mark A. Bonds II; his grandchildren, RaShiyah Bonds , LaMauri and LaMiyah Riley, Lashae Horrison, Leilyanna Hudson, Loyalty and Jahrey Scott, Stephen Higginson, Armonie Brown and Idris Bonds; great grandson, Terrell Davis-Malette; sisters, Teri D Momon-Cunningham, Stephanie L. Momon-Cobb; brother, Terry B Momon; aunts, Jacqueline Bonds and Maxine (Michael) Coleman; cousins, Eric Bonds, Michael Coleman, Michelle Coleman, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
