Luzon Stott, born on July 7, 1952, in Henderson, Kentucky, was a cherished soul whose life touched the hearts of many. At the age of 73, on June 1, 2026 he passed at the U of L Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. The son of the late William and Marlin Stott, Luzon was raised and educated in the Henderson County School system. Following his schooling, he dedicated his working years to The Henderson River Port as a Maintenance Worker, faithfully serving his community.
Luzon was a man whose warm and loving spirit embraced everyone he met. Known for his kindness and generosity, he never hesitated to offer a helping hand to those in need. His simple joys included fishing, savoring a cup of black coffee, and enjoying his favorite honey bun. Always lively and industrious, Luzon's energy and enthusiasm were a constant presence.
A fond and tender memory many hold dear is Luzon's habit of stopping at the gas station to fill exactly two dollars’ worth of gas in his truck. To him, it was not the distance that mattered, but the purpose of the journey—a reflection of his determined and optimistic nature. Unbeknownst to all, his final journey would be one far greater than anyone could have imagined.
Luzon was preceded in passing by his beloved parents and siblings: brothers Jonas and John Stott, and sisters JoAnn Morgan and Martha Stott. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. His children—Lutricia Presley, Michelle Wagner, Felicia Stott, Luzon Stott II, Cameron Stott, McKenzie Stott, D’Angelo Stott, Alyssa, and Elijah Stott—stand as a testament to his devotion as a father. Luzon is also lovingly remembered by his sisters Glendora Smith, Donnetta Stott, and Faithy Dixion, alongside many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Most of all, Luzon was a devoted father, a caring brother, and a true friend. His unwavering kindness, even in the face of hardship, and the boundless love he held for his family will remain a guiding light. As we honor his life, we find comfort in the precious memories he leaves behind, which will continue to inspire and console us in the days to come.
