Lucy Mae Norman was born January 30, 1948, to late Clyde and Anna Lucille Johnson. She departed from us January 28, 2026. She was born in Henderson, KY and later grew up in Evansville, IN, where she attended Delaware Elementary School and graduated from Central High School. Lucy went on to work for many years at Sears & Roebuck as a sewing machine and vacuum sales representative. She worked at Hills Department Store before working for a decade at the TJ Max Distribution Warehouse, from which she retired. After retirement, Lucy worked part time at St. Vincent DePaul. She was an exceptional employee at each establishment who was beloved and respected by all who worked with her! Lucy enjoyed reading in her spare time. She loved to listen to music, and she truly LOVED watching Steve Harvey and Family Feud! She also enjoyed playing Bingo and Pokeno! Known as an excellent cook, she enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to do so. She also had a talent for sketch art, a skill she passed on to her grandchildren as well. Lucy truly was one of the smartest, talented individuals you could know! Lucy loved the Lord and was baptized at Little Valley Baptist Church by the late Rev. Robert Brown. She spent her later years visiting Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church with her children. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Lucille; son, Douglas Jr.; former husband, Douglas Sr,; brothers, Fred, Nathan, Hollis, & Sonny; and sisters, Birdie and Zenobia. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Lisa and Yolanda; grandchildren, Cheize, Ariele, Vanessa; great-grandson, Malachi; a brother, George; brothers-in-law, Richard, and Glen; sisters-in law, Yvonne & Kathy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins! Lucy will be deeply missed by many! Until we see her again, “Fairwell Beautiful Lady!”
