Mrs. Lois B. Bowles, was born Feb. 21, 1919 to the late Willie & Rosie Mitchell of Union Point, Georgia. She accepted Christ as her personal savior and was an active missionary until her health began to fail.
She was united in marriage to Fairlon Bowles in 1964. They were blessed and united with 41 years of marriage. They resided in Detroit, Michigan until after his homegoing in 2005. Lois then moved to Providence, KY and resided in Red Bank Colonial Terrace from 2006 until the Master called her home on Sept. 16, 2017.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by daughter: Thelma Lasenberry; son: Willie Mitchell; two sisters: Susie Randall and Ann Walker; brother: Willie Mitchell.
Lois leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter: Rudine Mitchell; grand-daughter: Shirley Callaway; grandson: Anthony Heard; great-grandchildren in Union Point, Georgia; one niece Joyce Hudspeth of Frankfort, KY; two great nieces of Providence, KY, who were her care-takers: Betty Thomas (James), Diane Mason (Robert); a host of cousins, nephews; and friends of the family: Delores Lawrence and Barbara Lee.
Graveside services will be Thursday Sept. 21, 2017 at Cumberland Hills Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Mason & Sons Funeral Home. Leave condolences at
