Laura Faye Campbell

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ms. Laura Campbell, age 83, of Longs, South Carolina (formerly of Madisonville, Kentucky), announces her peaceful passing on the morning of June 26, 2026, at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River, South Carolina.

Laura attended Rosenwald High School in Madisonville, Kentucky. She was a faithful and active member of Eastview Missionary Baptist Church in Madisonville until relocating to South Carolina, where she attended Valorous Church in Little River, South Carolina.

Laura was a devoted homemaker and worked in childcare. She was blessed with four daughters and had a passion for doing hair. She became highly skilled with the hot comb and curlers, styling hair for family, friends, and even neighborhood clients. Above all else, Laura was a loving mother and daughter whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Julia Baker and Charles Campbell; her brothers, Harold Robert Campbell and James Thomas Campbell; her sister, Barbara Diana Johnson; and her brother-in-law, Bobby Johnson, Sr. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted daughters: Melecia “Lisa” Hollie (Titus), Tracie White (Tony), Lori Logan (Tim), and LeWandra (Heath).

She is also survived by her loving sister, Gonzella Hardy (James); her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lillie Campbell; her cherished grandchildren, Brittney, Dearon, Jazmn, Tymoree, Jaevion, and Na’hari; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Kalani, Gianna, and Malik.

She also leaves behind a special bonus family, Amy King and family, and Ca’Shara Martin and family, along with a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
