Juanita "Nita" V. Cobb, born on July 23, 1934, in Henderson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, in her hometown. A cherished member of her family and community, Nita was known for her warm spirit and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

Nita was the beloved daughter of the late Leroy Cobb and Lunette Hughes-Cobb. She embraced the role of homemaker with grace and diligence, nurturing her family with love and care. Cooking and baking with her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she treasured the moments spent on the porch, enjoying the fresh air. Nita also relished shopping trips with her daughter, creating lasting memories together.

Her family was the centerpiece of her life, and she found happiness in visiting her nieces, sharing a cup of morning coffee, and engaging in spirited games of bingo. Nita's laughter and kindness will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Nita is survived by her son, Gregory Cobb, and her daughter, Yvonne Chester. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Sha'Raye Chester and Milton Chester, and her great-grandchildren Ja'Maya Chester, Gerome Coleman Jr., and Gabbi Coleman; and a host of nieces and nephews who will carry forward the love and lessons she imparted.

In addition to her parents, Nita was preceded in death by her life partner, Matthew Chester, and her siblings: Rothalee Laurma Cobb, Mary Elizabeth Cobb Butler, Dorothy Lucieal Cobb, Gladys Cobb, and Carl Butler (Uncle Ferdinand).

Nita's spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends, forever etched in the memories they shared. May she rest in peace.
