Joseph Cosby, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on April 9, 1956, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Joseph Cosby and Lois Ophelia McDole.

A proud High School Graduate, Joseph served his country honorably in the United States Navy for two years after completing his high school education. Following his military service, he dedicated his working life to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Company.

Joseph's life was marked not only by his professional endeavors but also by his family, who were his greatest treasures. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Tiffany J. Sledge.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Vanessa Cosby, who stood by his side during his illness. He is also survived by his children, Temika Easley, Dennis Jackson, and Tamika Thompson, each of whom carry Joseph's legacy. His grandchildren—Daiyauna Waddell, Mya Easley, Zion Cross, and Zaire Cross, as well as a host of other grandchildren who brought him immense joy and pride, along with his two great-grandchildren.

Joseph is remembered fondly by his siblings, including his brother, Bryant Quarels, and his sister, Lucretia Joyce. Together, they formed bonds that enriched his life and provided support throughout the years.

As we reflect on Joseph's life, we celebrate the values he instilled in his family, his commitment to service, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones, and he will be dearly missed.
