Johnnie Alma Kemp-Snaden 82 of Evansville, IN passed on April 20, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born in Pickens, Arkansas to the late Henry P. Kemp and Nettie B. Fielder Kemp.
Johnnie accepted Christ at an early age at St. James Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. William Moore and later joined Greater St. James Missionary Church under the leadership of late Rev. Douglas F. Smith.
Johnnie was educated in the Evansville Vanderburgh School System (EVSC), attending Third Avenue Elementary School, Lincoln High School and graduated from Central High School. She had a quiet spirit and loved spending time with her family.
Johnnie is survived by her loving husband Elroy Snaden of Forty-Four years, one daughter Veronica Denise Freels-Fleming (Bryan ), who was her caregiver; brothers, Arthur and Maurice Kemp; sister Delores Kemp-Morehead; stepson La'Dane Snaden (Darlene); stepdaughter Celestia Snaden of Michigan and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
