Jerry T. Johnson, Jr.

Jerry T “Bigman / Fatman” Johnson Jr, age 56, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Born August 31, 1969, Jerry was the beloved son of Jerry T Johnson Sr and Clemie J Johnson. Affectionately known to many as Fatman and Bigman, Jerry attended Howe High School before earning his GED from Job Corp in Michigan. He shared 27 wonderful years of marriage with Lynn English-Johnson, and together they raised two children. Jerry dedicated over 15 years as Head Chef at Park Tudor School, where he was cherished by both staff and students. Jerry had a passion for riding and fixing motorcycles and loved grilling and cooking for his family and friends. His sense of humor brought joy to countless people, and his devotion to his family was unwavering. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and is remembered as someone whose love was unmatched until his last day. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry T Johnson Sr and Clemie J Johnson, as well as his sister, Lee Ann Collier-Johnson. He is survived by his children, Bayleigh N Johnson and Jeremiah T Johnson; his siblings, Emma Johnson and Michael Johnson; sisters-in-law, Johnann Johnson, Jackie English; nieces, Courtney Price, Brittney Johnson, Joycelyne Daniels, and Joilyne Daniels; nephew, Eric Collier; and great-nieces, Samiyah Owens and Imani Daniels.

Jerry’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. May he rest in peace.

A Balloon Release will be held June 6, 2026 in Indianapolis, IN.  The location to be determined.
