Harold Wayne Fellows, born on August 8, 1943, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Booker Fellows, Sr., and Armenda (Smith) Fellows, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Harold’s life was filled with love and joy, surrounded by his wife, Georgia, and cherished family and friends.
Harold spent his early years in Evansville, Indiana, where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. After graduation, he joined the US Navy in November 1961 and served his country with pride and honor for two years. His honorable discharge followed his time of service.
In 1991, Harold married his beloved Sugar Plum, Georgia.
Harold dedicated his life to Christ and was baptized at the tender age of eight at Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church. He was a devoted member of the church, volunteering his time for missionary work, especially for those who were sick or confined to their homes. In 2001, Harold was ordained as a Deacon at his home church. His life was guided by his unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ, characterized by a life of service, obedience, a focus on humanity, and an example of love for all.
Harold spent 38 years employed and retired from Whirlpool Corporation. During his time at Whirlpool, he played for the Evansville Tigers, a semi-professional baseball team. He also served as a coach for the Women’s Baseball team, Paradise Softball, later renamed Express Baseball. He was a huge baseball fan of the Chicago Cubs.
In his free time, Harold enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He was a member of a bowling league for many years. Harold joined Lodge #5 in 1967. Years later, that organization was renamed Cawthar Temple #11, where he served as Potentate in the years 2004 and 2005. He cherished attending his grandchildren’s school activities until his health began to decline.
Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather (great), son, brother, uncle, and friend to countless individuals.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Booker and Armenda, his oldest brother, Larry, and his stepson, Victor.
Harold leaves to cherish his memories to his Sugar Plum, Georgia of 47 years; brothers, Booker Jr. (Betty), Jerome (Dana); sister, Joyce (Charles); his children, Cedric, Stevie, James, and Stephanie, Amelia, Bryan, Jacqueline, and Jeffery; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
