Gregory Mark Wilcox

Gregory Mark Wilcox, 58, passed away at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital on June 15, 2026. He was born to proud parents Walter Wilcox and the late Patricia Oates Wilcox. He was a lifelong member of Nazarene Baptist Church.

Gregory was educated in the Evansville Vanderburgh County School System where he graduated from Harrison High School. He played football while in high school and developed a love for the game. He also attended Rets Trade School in Louisville, KY where he studied Electronics.

Gregory was employed at many factories throughout his career such as Cloth World, the Blind Association, and the Hudson Tree Factory. He was always a quiet, nice guy that was like by all who met him.

He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially his favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts. When you saw him, he was always wearing his Colts baseball cap. In addition to sports, Gregory watched Game Shows on Television, and Soap Operas, an activity he enjoyed with his mother. He could cook about anything, but his specialties were fried chicken and big juicy burgers.

Gregory’s memory will be cherished by his father, Walter Wilcox; brother, Christopher Wilcox; sister, Barbara Chambers; 2 nieces, Ti and Twilla; 7 great nieces and great nephews, all of Henderson, KY; 1 Uncle, Guy Oates (Willa) of Florence Alabama; and many cousins.
