Donald Lee Shanklin, Sr, 76, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at Deaconess
Gateway Hospital. Donald was born July 19, 1939 to the late Floyd Shanklin and
Benetta Harvey Jackson. He was preceded in death by his twin sons: Donald and Deon
Shanklin.
He served his country in the Army for two years. Donald retired from
George Koch & Son where he worked deligently for 36 years. He was a member of the
American Legion Otis Stone Post #354.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Dolphine Shanklin; One loving sister: Nanaetta Williams of Evansville IN; three daughters: Donese Farmer (Mike), Latrice Lawson (Elijah) of Evansville IN, Jacque Jones (James) of Texas; three sons: Keith Shanklin, Mark Shanklin, Sr., Geoffery Malone all from Evansville IN; 35 Grandkids, 36 Great grandkids and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
