Darriel O'Keith Sutton

With profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Darriel O’Keith Sutton, who departed this life on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the age of 39. Darriel attended Harrison High School where he played football and was a member of the Jr. ROTC. He loved football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  He coached his nephew in the Lakeview Optimist Football league, something he thoroughly enjoyed. At a young age, he became a member of Cleaves Memorial CME Church where he attended with his mother, siblings, and grandmother.

Darriel was known as a "grill master" who barbecued for his family and friends.  He could cook just about anything and especially loved cooking meals for his mother. 

His life was a treasured gift, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The bonds he shared with his family and friends will continue to be a source of comfort, strength, and cherished remembrance.

He leaves to honor his memory his mother, Colleen Sutton; his father, Darriel Sutton; his siblings, Nicola Jackson, Demond Sutton, Devon Baxton, Darrius Burse, Jazmine Ogburn, and Gary Ogburn Jr; and his children, Darriel Sutton, Darius Sutton, Brandon Sutton, Devon Sutton, and Hope Sutton.

He is also lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Christine Morrow; his aunts and uncles, Tony Baxton, Carletta Baxton, Gerry Baxton, and Valencia Baxton Berry; along with many other beloved relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his presence.

Although Darriel is no longer with us in body, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the place he holds within the hearts of his family and friends will endure forever.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory remain a blessing to all who loved him.
