Craig Allen Mann of Earlington, Kentucky entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Craig was born on November 18th, 1978 in Madisonville, KY to Edith Mann and Henry Suggs. At a young age, he professed his love for Christ at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Earlington, KY.
Craig was a proud 1998 graduate of Hopkins County Central High School, Morton's Gap, Kentucky. Throughout his life, Craig was known as a hardworking man who enjoyed using his hands, staying busy, and providing for those he loved. He was formerly employed with WebstaurantStore and Stafford Detailing, where he worked until changes in his health began to affect his ability to continue the everyday routine he once enjoyed. Although his health presented challenges in later years, it never took away the love, laughter, personality, and unforgettable spirit that made Craig who he was.
To his family and friends, Craig was affectionately known as “Dirty Red,” a name that carried with it a lifetime of memories, laughter, and stories that will be told for generations. Craig was raised in “The Bottom,” where friendships were formed, life lessons were learned, and some of his greatest memories began.
If you knew Dirty Red back then, you knew one thing for certain—he could throw a rock! And not just throw one; Dirty Red had an arm that deserved its own scouting report. The neighborhood joke was that he could stand in his own yard, throw a rock a mile away, and somehow still hit you right in the back of the head. Everybody in The Bottom knew the rule: you could make Dirty Red mad if you wanted to, but you better start running before he found a rock! Somehow, even those stories became treasured memories that his family and friends can still laugh about today.
The Bottom was also where Craig developed his love for sports. If there was a ball, a field, a team, or a game being played, Craig was probably somewhere in the middle of it. From baseball and football to kickball and just about every sport known to mankind, Craig loved to compete, laugh, and enjoy life with his friends. More importantly, it was there that he formed lifelong friendships—bonds that stood the test of time and remained strong throughout his life.
Craig had an infectious smile and a presence that could bring joy into any room. He didn’t need the fanciest things in life to be happy. Craig appreciated the simple things—working and building things with his hands, spending time with the people he loved, and simply enjoying life on his own terms.
But above everything else, nothing compared to the love Craig had for his children. They were his pride, his joy, and one of the greatest parts of his life. Whether they were doing something special or simply spending quality time together, being with his children meant everything to him. His love for them could never go unnoticed, because when Craig loved, he loved wholeheartedly.
Craig “Dirty Red” will be remembered for so many things—his smile, his laughter, his hands, his love of sports, his devotion to his family, his loyalty to his lifelong friends, and, of course, that legendary rock throwing arm. The rocks may have stopped flying, but the memories will never stop coming.
Craig was preceded in death by his grandparents Leon and Dora Brown, Frank Bass, Virginia Scisney and Charles Suggs.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Edith Mann of Earlington, Kentucky; his father Henry Suggs of Earlington, Kentucky; A loving companion Ashly Huddleston of Earlington, Kentucky; two daughters, Kylaisha Mann of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Camree Mann of Earlington, Kentucky; One son, Xzavior “Lil Red”Mann of Earlington, Kentucky; two sisters, LaKendra Mann of Earlington, Kentucky and LaToya Suggs-Norris of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Kevin Van Buren and Vance Suggs of Madisonville, Kentucky.
Craig is also survived by his mother-in-love Beth Huddleston of Earlington, Kentucky; four nieces, Jah’Laizha, Jah’Shiyah, Olivia, and Jaiden; four nephews, Noah, Antonio, Kevin, and Eric along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
