Charles Thomas Vance went home to glory on August 25, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. in his home with family at his side. He was born to Lillie May Warfield Vance and Charles Vance in Clarksville, TN where he graduated from Bert High School. He later moved to Evansville, IN, worked at Pearl Cleaners for 5 years, then became employed at FJ Folz for 59 years. While at FJ Folz, he also worked a second job at the Indian Summer Vinegar Factory for 15 years.

Charles loved to go fishing and enjoyed playing Spades with his friends and family. He loved having birthday parties and dancing. Spending time with his family and friends was the joy of his life.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Mae Warfield Vance and Charles Vance; 3 sons, Charles Vance, Tracy Vance, and Bobby Lee Head; grandson, Darrius Eugene Vance; and a devoted good friend, Micky.

Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jane Vance; daughters, Joyce Vance (Daryel) of Evansville, IN, Stacy Williams (Alfred) of Providence, KY, Teresa Vance (Donnie) of Columbia, S.C.; sons, Charles Head (Nicki) of Evansville, IN, Charles Towler of Indianapolis, IN, Calvin Baker (Alice) of Princeton, KY; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Belle (James Hill), Joyce Ramson (William), Phyllis Ewing (Donald), Paula Clardy (Tony), Robert Warfield (Monica), Burt Vance (Virginia), all of Clarksville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many many friends.
