Alice Louise Williams, departed this life on July 4, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by loved ones at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.
Born February 16, 1940, in Humboldt, Tennessee, Louise was the beloved child of Mary Lou Williams-Hughes. She grew up in Evansville, Indiana, attending Lincoln High School and later made a lasting impact in the community where she lived and worked.
Throughout life, Alice Louise Williams was known for her hard work, political activism, passion for helping others, humor, compassion, and love of God. She dedicated much of her life to politics, volunteer work, community involvement, and touching countless lives through coaching, counseling, mentorship, and most of all cooking. She was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church, where she was the chair of the Culinary Committee for more than 20 years.
Louise is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou (Williams) Hughes; sister, Mary E. Allen; and grandson, Deshaunte (Shaun) Williams.
Louise is survived by her sons, Anthony La'Mar Williams, Antonio La'Ron Williams; daughter, Kim Miller; daughter-in-law Althea E. Williams, wife of Anthony; grandchildren, Tara M. Ganaway, Allan D. Dulan, Cameron Williams; great grandchildren; family matriarch, Callie M. Rogers; nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous surrogate children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Alice Louise aka, “Weezee” Williams, will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
