Willie Morse

Willie Morse, age 88, passed away on June 27, 2016 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

Willie Morse was born April 23, 1928 in Crowder, Kentucky to Harland and Izilla Morse. Later, he moved to Evansville, Indiana where he attended Lincoln High School. He joined Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and was a member of the male chorus. He later became a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Board of Trustees.

Brother Morse was a member of the Golden Ages Breakfast Club and American Legion Otis Stone Post 354. He served in the US Army and worked at the Post Office for 34 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elsie Morse; devoted daughters: Gail (Andre) Davis, Silvia (Jeffrey) Henton, Angela Kimbrew, Cheryl (Jonathan) Wallden; five grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Ree Jackson and Theatrice (Arthur) Brown; and a host of cousins, church members, and friends.

The family wants to extend a special thank you to Good Samaritan Home, staff, and hospice group.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, Evansville IN. Friends may visit from 10:00am until service time. Rev. Connie Baltzell and Rev. Michael Johnson, officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park. www.masonbrothersfs.com
