Mr Terry Lynn Tyler

The sun set on the life of Terry Lynn Tyler, age 54 on April 7, 2022. He was the second child born to Esther Fentress and Charles Tyler. “Winky” as he was called by his family and close friends was a quiet, passive child often found on the periphery of the chaos in the household of 7 children. While quiet Terry was not shy. Rather, he was more reflective and analytical and one to proceed with caution in questionable situations.
Terry attended public schools and graduated from Reitz High School. After working at Wendy’s, he decided to explore career opportunities with the military and enlisted in the United States Air force. Terry was part of the 10th Civil Engineer Squadron. He served his country for nearly 25 years as a Civil Engineer Operations Manager in the United States Air force. Following his retirement from active duty, he continued his service as an Air Force civilian employee for more than 5 years, working at both Peterson SFB and USAFA prior to his death. “Winky” was always selflessly working to help others both on and off duty.
Shortly after his enlistment Terry met his wife Antoinette and had two children, Daunte age 23, and Tara age 17. His military experience took him to Spain, Germany, Guam, and many places in the US with him finally retiring in Colorado Spring, CO.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Mark Tyler; grandmothers: Patty Fentress and Vandora Scott; great grandmother: Estra Cunningham; aunts: Earline and Beatrice Fentress.
Besides his military friends, “Winky” leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Antoinette; children: Daunte and Tara; mother: Esther Fentress; father: Charles Tyler; brothers: Darryl Tyler, Kevin Tyler, Brian (Chanel) Fentress, and Kurt Tyler; sisters; LeVone Tyler, Pamela (Tremayne) Hooks and Violet Tyler; aunts: Pamela Fentress, Marcia Fentress, and Patricia Fentress; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend.
