In loving memory, we say goodbye to one of Jehovah’s faithful witnesses, Reneé Claudine Pendleton Snowden. The former wife of Keith Snowden, Reneé passed away at the tender age of 61 years old. She was a member of the Evansville South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a counselor of Bible teaching. She was fluent in sign language, serving where the need was great in both the United States as well as in the country of the Dominican Republic where she served for one month last year.
Reneé studied at Sawyer College of Business in Hammond IN training her for a journey of work with various companies including those in the health related fields. Of them were: Western and Southern Financial Group; Foresters Financial Partners; James A. Jones M.D., P.C. where she worked for eight years as Office Administrator; and last but not least, Restcare, where she once again served in the capacity of helping those in need.
Reneé was preceded in death by her mother, Ernestine Cornelia Pendleton Vassar (Ernest Vassar); two aunts: Vera Calloway (John T. Calloway – affectionately known as “Daddy Calloway”) and Dorothy Heard.
She leaves to mourn, one sibling, Allegra J. Pendleton Waller Shuler; one brother-in-law, Jake Shuler, Jr.; two nephews: Justin Scott Vassar and Jake Jermaine Shuler; one niece, Christine Nyrée Shuler Jones; special cousins: Mitchell Heard, Lawrence Heard and Ouida Heard Hale; along with a host of other special and dear relatives and friends. Reneé will be truly missed by all who came to know her.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 6:00pm at Evansville South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Evansville, IN. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at
