Pauline Cook

Pauline Cook started her heavenly journey on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10:45 a.m. She was born in Slaughters, KY to Rufus and Pearl Brown.
She resided at Parkview Care Center for the last six years and was loved by many of the staff, especially, Suzi Embry. Although in a wheelchair, she would be at the front desk where she would greet all the people that came through the reception area.
She retired from the Housekeeping Department of St. Mary’s Hospital. She was best known for her cooking skills and was in charge of the kitchen in Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
At 96 years old, she was the oldest member of the Nazarene Baptist Church.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and her 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Pauline leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children: Mary (Russell) Smith, Pauline Moore, Judy Hayden and Thomas (Jackie) Pore; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A walk-through visitation will be held on Sunday, July 12 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, 1001 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN.
PRIVATE services for the family will be held on Monday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m. at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel. Due to Covid-19, face masks will be required, and social distancing will be practiced.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Greater St. James Recreation Center at 484 South Governor Street, Evansville, IN 47713.
