Myrtle Brooks

Myrtle L. Brooks, 87 of Evansville, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020. She was born on July 21, 1933 in Springfield, TN to the late Rev. Russell and Nannie Mae West. Myrtle relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 1957 with her late husband Harlan Brooks. Myrtle worked as an Office Manager in healthcare until retirement. She moved back to Evansville, in 2012. She was a faithful and active member of Memorial Baptist Church, 605 Canal Street, Evansville where she served as President of the Mothers Board for 12 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Traughber; sons ,Jay and Jeff Brooks; grandson, Jamel Brooks; and great-granddaughter Mariah Brooks.
Visitation will be from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am.
