Margie Louise “Wimp” Lash, 91, went home to be with the Lord Tues. Jan 2, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born in Maceo, KY on January 13, 1926 to the late James Thomas and Ophelia McCrary. She was retired from CAPE where she was a bus driver for the SMILE program. As a longtime member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Margie served on the Mother’s Board, the bus ministry, and sang in the choir. Margie was a member of that well-known gospel singing group called the Golden Echoes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John Lash; 2 sisters: Cordelia Ussery and Mary Scott. Margie leaves to cherish fond & loving memories, one daughter: Carol White (Doug); grandsons: Douglas White (Kelli), Christain White, Sr. (Amanda); great grandchildren: Mirayah, Christain, Jr., Kylan, KeAura, Kaiden, Jaleah, and Jaylen; two sisters: Anna Minor of Evansville, Verna Johnson of Owenboro, KY; brother: James Thomas (Thelma) of Jacksonville, FL; her additional siblings: Marianne Williams (Otis) of DeSoto, TX, Hugh M.
