Luther White

Luther Edward White was born March 8, 1940 to the late Finis Edward and Mary Ola White. He departed this life on February 17, 2021 at 11:45 a.m.

Luther accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Eastview Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Rosenwald High School in 1958. He married Joan Marie Trice in 1959 and to this union, two children were born, Chuana Renee Anderson and Lori LaShea White-Henry. He was devoted to his family and he especially enjoyed doting on his granddaughters. Throughout his work career, Luther was employed at Ford Motor Company in Detroit, MI and Fies #9 Coal Mine. He was employed at IAC for a number of years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and loved laughing at and with his nieces and nephews.

Luther is preceded in death by two sisters: Rebecca White and Amelia Doniel; two brothers: Jesse and Virgil White.

He is survived by his wife: Joan; daughters: Chuana Anderson and Lori White-Henry (Terry); granddaughters: Rhyan, Sydni, and India Henry; sister: Judy White of Madisonville, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
