Johnnie Hughes , 60, of Evansville, IN passed away on January 10, 2021 in Nashville, TN. He was born on June 17, 1960 to Johnny Hughes and Laquita Northington.
He was known for his addictive personality and contagious laughter.
Johnnie is preceded in death by his father: Johnny Hughes; his grandparents: Chester and Blanche Dunbar; and his son: Alan Lamar Hughes.
He leaves to cherish his memory children: Jon'el U. Hughes and Brenique N. Hughes Dukes (Evansville), Jordan M. Hughes (Newburgh), Davon T.M. Stum (Macon, GA), and Tavish K. Stum (Atlanta); his mother LaQuita M. Northington (Indianapolis); grandmother: Naomi E. Long (Evansville); sisters: Bonnietta M. Hughes, Blanchie Hughes, and Patricia Hughes (Nashville); brothers: David Sawyers (Indianapolis) and Anthony D. Hughes (Nashville); 4 grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be on Saturday, January 16 at 4:00 p.m. at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, Evansville, IN. Visitation will be at 3:00 p.m. until service time.
Due to Covid-19, masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced.
