Joan Bell Norris

Joan Bell Norris departed this life on August 15, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born January 12, 1941 to Helen E. Boone and William E. Dixon, in Corydon, Ky.
Joan was a graduate of Dunbar High School in Morganfield, Ky. She traveled extensively around the world as a military spouse. She always possessed a friendly personality and a smile to everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father John Boone.
Joan leaves to cherish her memory husband of 54 years, Robert E. Norris. Two daughters, Tamara Happoldt, grandchildren, Darius, Deon, and Trey. Yvonne Hancock (Bill) and grandson Brice, all from Henderson. Four half-brothers, George Richard Jackson, Morganfield, Ky., James Taylor, William L. Dixon (Fathey), James E. Dixon (Karen) all from Henderson.
Homegoing services are 1:00pm Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church, 937 Washington Street, Henderson with family visitation from 11:00am until service time. Rev. Robert L. Whitlock will officiate. Burial in Fernwood Cemetery. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel is entrusted with final arrangements. Leave condolences at www.masonbrothersfs.com .
