Hezekiah Chester

July 11, 1951 — December 8, 2020

Hezekiah Chester, 69, of Evansville, IN passed away peacefully on December 8th at the Signature Nursing home in Newburgh, IN. He was born on July 11, 1951, to the late Cornelius and Mildred (Anderson) Chester.
Hezekiah Chester attended Henderson County High School. He served as a Marine from 1969 - 1971 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam war. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was energetic, loved life, and enjoyed gatherings with family. He married Patricia (Tramill) Chester on August 2, 1979.
He worked many years as a welder for George Koch and Sons Inc, and he worked in processing at Perdue Turkey Farm. Becoming disabled in September 1999, he had to discontinue any employment.
Hezekiah Chester is preceded in death by both parents; his wife; brothers: Jim Lee Chester, Joe Cepheus Chester, Mathew Chester, and Cornelius Chester Sr.
Hezekiah Chester leaves to cherish his loving memory sister: Shirley (Chester) Parchman; children: Jerald Tramill, Kentucky, Demetrius Chester, Kentucky, Yalande Chester-Pullom, Indiana, Patrice Chester, Indiana, Scherrie Stone, Kentucky, Joshua Chester, Kentucky; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Family hour visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 16th at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in Henderson, KY with Mason Brothers Clergy officiating the service. Burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery, Henderson, Ky at 3 p.m. Leave condolences at www.masonbrothersfs.com . A mask is required at all services and social distancing will be observed. Due to Kentucky laws regarding Covid 19, no more than 25 attendees will be permitted in the building at one time for funerals and visitations. A mask must be worn at all services and social distancing will be observed.
