Herbert "Herb" Williams Jr.

Herbert “Herb” Brank Williams, Jr. was born to the late Herbert Brank Williams, Sr. and the late Martha Lee Johnson Williams in Greenville, Kentucky. He departed this life on August 10, 2018 at 3:00am at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Herb attended the public school system in Greenville. As a young man, he accepted the Lord as his personal savior. After school, Herbert joined the United States Navy where he served four years and fought in the Vietnam War. He later united in marriage to Annie Beatrice Henderson. To this union, a beloved son, Johnathan Eugene Williams; a daughter, Lisa Anne Williams; and a son, Emilio Coates were born.

Herb loved spending time with his very special companion of 8 years. They spent many wonderful hours fishing together. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Martha; four sisters: Dorothy Ivey, Martha Jean Bell, Maxine Bard, and Njeri Ambakisye; and one brother, William Harbin.

Herb leaves to mourn his passing, two sons: Johnathan Eugene Williams (Latoiya) of Pflugerville TX and Emilio Coates of Milwaukee WI; one daughter, Lisa Anne Williams of Santa Ana CA; six grandsons: Johnathan II, Henderson, Jaylen, Jared, Jordan, and Joell; one granddaughter, Jayda; one great-grandson Johnathan III; two sisters: JoAnn Munford of Milwaukee WI and Tamika Johnson of Greenville KY; one brother, Ali Drake (Brenda) of Providence KY; a very special companion of 8 years, Rocelia Owens of Madisonville KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Madisonville, Kentucky. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00am until service time at the church. Burial at Westside Oddfellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in Henderson KY is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com
