Giles Ware, Sr.

Giles Ware, Sr., age 87, passed away on Saturday April 2, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky.

He was born March 14, 1929 in Henderson KY to Stewart Sweat and Elizabeth Johnson. He worked for the City of Henderson in maintenance and remained active until the end of his life. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching television, and spending time with family and friends. Giles loved going to the park and being outdoors. He loved “the blues” and really loved to dance. One of his greatest joys was making his loved ones laugh and smile.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Giles Ware, Jr., Donald Ware, Matthew Ware, and Terry Ware; grandsons: John Thomas from Morganfield KY and Derrick Thomas from Clarksville TN; great grandchildren: Des’Mond Bot from Louisville KY, Micha Thomas from Germany, and Kalaiph Thomas from Fort Knox KY; great-great grandson, Zen Bot Thomas from Louisville KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00pm at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel, 1322 Helm Street, Henderson KY with visitation from 12:00 noon until service time. Rev. Joe Flagg officiating. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com
