Frances M Scott

Frances M. Scott, age 87, of Evansville transitioned at St. Mary’s Hospital on April 18, 2016. She was born in Hopkinsville KY and relocated to Evansville IN in 1938. A member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, she served as an Usher Board Chair and Assistant Secretary there. A 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School, she worked 18 years each at McCurdy Hotel and Visiting Nurses Association; and also owned and operated the Young Kitty Kat night club. Phenomenal mother, outstanding wife, unconditional friend and faithful servant. She is survived by husband, Sidney L. Scott Sr.; son, Sidney Scott Jr; sister, Gwendolyn Oldham; and niece Phyllis Oldham.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Thursday April28, 2016 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 663 S. Elliott St. (now Dr. W. R. Brown Sr. Way), Evansville IN. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation from 9a.m. until service time. Condolences may be made at www.masonbrothersfs.com
