Emma Louise Dixon

September 10, 1931 - April 19, 2017

Emma Louise Tyler Dixon, born on September 10, 1931 went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2017. Emma was married to William C. Dixon for 65 years. She was employed with the Henderson County School System for 25 years where she fulfilled her love of being around children. She enjoyed playing baseball and shopping around town with her sister Etta Tyler. In addition to her husband, Emma was preceded in death by her parents Mary Francis and John Henry Tyler; brothers: Mickey and John Ed Tyler; sisters: Francille Arnold, Doris Brank, Loretta Burris, Betty Jean Wilcox, Lillian Sutton. Emma is survived by daughters: Debra Bowman (Mark), Janice Johnson; son: William Dixon (Vernalia); grandchildren: Melody Calhoun (Steve), Michele Dixon, Jacqueline Gadson, Lakeisha Robottom, Demarcus Johnson, Omar Johnson and Edward Johnson; sister: Etta Tyler; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 12 Noon at Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Rev. Charles Johnson will officiate. Burial is in Fernwood Cemetery. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel is entrusted with final arrangements. Leave condolences at www.masonbrothersfs.com.
