Dounia Marie McGhee

Dounia Marie Armstead McGhee was called home by God on Jan 22,2021 at 1 pm at Deaconess Hospital. She was born on Jan 3,1952 to James Henry Armstead and Ruth Terry Armstead in Henderson Ky . She was a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She married her teenage love , Timothy Lincoln McGhee, on June 26,2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother James Ira Armstead .

Dounia leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband: Timothy Lincoln McGhee; her second mother who reared her since 1958: Marjorie Watkins Armstead; 5 siblings: Dwight Armstead ( Diane), Orville (Ootsie) Armstead (Jackie), Terry McKinney (Mary), Naomi (Sweet Pea) Disco, Feylicia Armstead Washington; 1 sister-cousin: Sharon Pearson; 1 aunt: Mayjo Armstead ; and a host of nieces, nephews, great- nieces , great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to also thank all of the staff of Fresenius Kidney Care Ohio Valley Dialysis, Dr. Evanson, and all of the nephrologists who cared for Dounia. We appreciate the love and care you gave her. Dounia loved all of you , and her family loves you dearly.
