Darin Keith Miller

Darin Keith Miller, age 50, went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2016 after a brief stay at Select Long Term Care. Darin was born February 3, 1966 to Robert L. Miller, Sr. and Mary L. Miller in Evansville, Indiana. He confessed his belief in God at an early age and was baptized at Zion Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. J. M. Caldwell. Darin was also a long time member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing with The Voices of Hope.

Darin graduated from Bosse High School. He traveled with Up With People for two (2) years. He also worked at DeJong’s prior to moving to California and attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute where he became a Chef.

Darin enjoyed life and found joy in attending church, singing, cooking, music, travelling and family gatherings.

Darin was preceded in death by his father in May of 2014 and his mother in July of 2016. Darin leaves to cherish his memory two (2) daughters: Ashley Brown of Evansville IN and Sylk Miller of Los Angeles CA; four (4) sisters: Althea Young-Bennett (George) of Durham NC, Vennetta Mitchell (his caregiver) of Evansville IN, LaDonna Miller of Dallas TX and Phyllis Miller of Evansville IN; four (4) brothers: Mark Miller of Dallas TX, Donald Miller of Atlanta GA, David Miller of Dallas TX, and Robert Miller, Jr. of Evansville IN; two (2) grandchildren: Jada and Joshua; one (1) aunt, Lucy Williams of Evansville IN; one (1) uncle, Phil Taylor of Coca FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 1:00pm at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, 1001 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville IN with visitation from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com
