Charles Davis Kivel

Charles Davis Kivel, 98, passed away, Monday October 17, 2016 at Brentwood Nursing Home.
Charles was born March 19, 1918, in Central City, KY to the late Charles Herman and Birdie (Parker) Kivel. He was a member of the Metropolitan Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Charles Joined the U.S. Army and was a World War II Veteran. He also worked for the Post Office.
Surviving Charles is his daughter Charlotte (Kivel) Dunlap; grandchildren Charles, Theodore, Standley, John, Angela, and Stephanie; sisters Sarah Roach, Dorothy Carson, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Lurlene (Wilson) Kivel; grandson Anthony; sisters, Inez, Anna, Marybelle, Alice Ruth, Eva Mae; brothers James, and Wesley.
Funeral Service will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, October 24, 2016, at Metropolitan Seventh Day Adventist Church, 412 East Mulberry St., Evansville, IN. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until funeral. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brentwood Nursing Home and MSA Hospice.
