July 22, 1944 — October 6, 2019

Benjamin C. Copeland, Jr. (Coolie) , 75, passed Oct. 6, 2019 at Parkview Car Center. He was born in Evansville to Benjamin Copeland, Sr. and Rosetta Dawson Wallace. Ben graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962.

Ben was a waiter at French Lick for many years. He was well known for his flamboyant style of dressing. He loved to shoot pool and at one time owned a Pool Hall named Coolie’s and a Record Shop.

He was preceded in death by both parents; his beloved great aunt, Gladys Copeland; siblings: Claudia Hines, Cynthea Barnett, Phillip Dawson, Foster Johnson, Victor Wallace .

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter: Kelly Copeland; son: Troy Copeland; siblings: Alelisa Wallace and James Wallace; 2 grandchildren: Mariah Turner, Remington Copeland; 2 great grandchildren: Malik Amos, Major Turner; a loving niece: Yolanda Gray; a special cousin: Darryl Copeland; and host of other nieces and nephews.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday October11, 2019 at Eastview Baptist Church with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service. R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Leave condolences at www.masonbrothersfs.com .
