Anna Ruth Wilson

Anna Ruth Scisney Wilson, age 88, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016. She was born November 12, 1928 to the late Mada and Lucy Scisney.

Anna was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years and was always there until her health failed. She was a former member of the Mass Choir, Sunday School, and the “Old Ship of Zion.” She was also a Kentucky Colonel.

Anna enjoyed playing cards and dancing. She wore her “Ruby Red” lipstick daily and would not be seen without it.

An avid animal lover, she loved her cats, “Spot” and the “Put-Puts.”

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Wilson who died in 2000; her siblings: William Scisney, Leo Scisney, Ruby Hendrix, and Mary Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Virginia Scisney and James Scisney (Grace); sister-in-law, Maureen Scisney; God-daughter, Ronalyn Williams; caregivers Tony Scisney, her nephew, and Nadine Scisney, her niece; step-daughter, Mary Chambers; step-grandchildren; special friend, Janie Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly and always told them so.

Services will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:00pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Hecla KY. Visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm also at the church. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, in Earlington, KY. Mason & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com
