Linda Carol Owens

Linda Carol Skelton Owens was born in Evansville Indiana to Eugene and Fannie Skelton on March 6, 1954. She gained her wings in the early hours of Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

Linda was educated in the Houston County, Tennessee school system.
While she played basketball in her younger years, she later became well known for her skills in the kitchen. She met god at a young age and was an avid churchgoer and member of Saint Luke AME Church in Erin Tennessee, where she also sang in the choir.

Linda was preceded in death by both parents and her daughters: Chavela Love and Marchanta Williams. Linda leaves to cherish her memories her son: Larry Brown (Darnykka Hillsman Brown) and her daughter: Robyn Waggoner, both of Erin, TN; grandson: Da’Quawn Brown of Nashville, TN; sister: Faye Brown of Evansville, IN; nephews, nieces and a host of other family and friends. Linda was loved by all and had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. She will truly be missed.

Visiting hour is Friday December 8, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel. Homegoing Service is Saturday December 9, 2017 at 12 Noon at St. Luke A.M.E. Church in Erin, TN with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
