Delores Jean Powell left this life on November 10, 2016 to begin her journey in the next life.
She was born in Corydon, Kentucky to Thelma Powell and Gene Woolridge. After graduating high school, Delores attended Lockyear College for secretarial studies and worked briefly in that field. Prior to her passing, she worked for many years at the Evansville Regional Airport.
Delores was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Fuquay.
Her legacy continues through her son, Daniel R. Fuquay; daughters: Deena M. Weathers, Jennifer D. Weathers and Venus D. Coit; her grandchildren: Tori A. Denton, Carl W. Taylor, Jr., Danielle B. Taylor, Dameion J. Crawford, Shadiyah M. Weathers, Dorian M. Strobert, W. Alexander Strobert, Leon T. Mitchell, Summer D. Clark, Autumn R. McCowan, Chris Fuquay, Cory Fuquay, and Adrian Fuquay; and great-grandchildren that loved her dearly and whom she dearly loved. In addition, she is survived by a brother, Samuel L. Powell; two sisters: Mae Frances Smith and Thelma J. Powell; and honorable mentions, Jackie Coit and John Wayne Samuels.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11:00am at Eastview Baptist Church in Evansville, IN. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com
